What exactly do I own when I buy an edition?+
You own verifiable digital rights to that specific edition of the artwork — permanently recorded in the Art X Bloc ownership ledger. Your edition number is locked to your account and cannot be duplicated or revoked. As a rights holder, you can display the work, order physical prints, and sell your rights on the secondary market.
Can I really make money on this?+
When you sell your edition on the exchange, you receive the proceeds minus the 3% platform fee. Early edition holders have historically appreciated the most as demand grows. However, like any market, prices can fluctuate — there's no guarantee of profit. Art X Bloc is not a financial advisor and this is not financial advice.
What is Bloc and how does it work?+
Bloc is the Art X Bloc platform currency. It's a closed-loop credit used to buy artwork editions and pay fees. The Bloc/USD conversion rate is referenced to the silver spot price and adjusted quarterly — so your balance can appreciate with silver. Cash-outs are paid in USD via bank transfer. Bloc is not a cryptocurrency or investment instrument.
How does the Golden Ratio model work?+
The Golden Ratio model uses the Fibonacci sequence to set prices. Each edition's price multiplier follows 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21... multiplied by the starting price. This means early editions are very affordable, but later editions grow significantly — making Edition #1 and #2 highly sought-after on the secondary market.
What is a signed edition and is it worth more?+
A signed edition means the artist has physically signed your print — your specific edition number is hand-signed and the signature is photographed, logged, and tied to your ownership record. Signed editions come with a Certificate of Authenticity and NFC chip verification. On secondary markets, signed editions consistently command a premium over unsigned editions of the same artwork.
